Pictures of cylinder after 4 tanks @ 12,500/12,700. One and half tank milling. Seems to have a good amount of oil. There are what I would consider wear marks on piston (excluding the marks on top, I did that) there is no indention into metal only what seems like polishing.

Was the rod blued like that when you put it together? I’d be checking that big end bearing very closely...

I was originally worried but I looked uo and saw where peoole had those colors when they received them.

The blue on the rod is about heat. A couple of reasons why..I've seen that twice before...:)

So are you saying the colors are not normal? If it heated up while running I'm worried that it is starting to anneal and could cause a failure.

I like 20 or so in a 66. Mine has 17.
His saw seemed to run pretty good as it was though.

I like that intake, and I think your #s are good. Not sure if I would move the upper or not, 25* of blow down is just fine.

They all have that some just show up more extreme than others even my 064 show's color mid way down the rod.

How would I reduce the spit back? I would like to keep that oil in case as much as possible.

Well as I see it you port timing is pretty good it's ok to have spit back it's more less normal for a chainsaw. And yep I'm sure the argument will begin after my comment.lol

Your losing case compression, but that should reduce spitback a little. You could freeport the exhaust a touch or fill the intake to 78 or so and that may reduce it a little. You could also lean it out a touch. Should be at least over 13,000
