I bought a nice 32" Windsor Speed Tip bar off the bay for the occasional use on my 394xp. It was listed to be 3/8" x 0.050" and 105dl. Well.....105dl is not long enough!

Can anybody help identify the correct chain for this thing?

It is stamped: 32HU50SN

That should be a 32" 105, are you sure you counted the drive links correct?

I have seen Poulan advertised as 32" but are really 34" 110 drive link.

Double checked and I do have 105 drive links. I believe this is actually a 34" bar maybe? I don't know exactly where to measure it to be certain and was hoping the number on the bar would tell us.

Here is a picture of the bar and chain. The bar itself measure about 37" overall length. It won't quite fit on the bar itself, let alone around the rim sprocket. Maybe another 5 links?

You need 6 links off the tail to fit the bar and chain on the saw with a 7 pin sprocket. 7 links to run an 8 pin.

I think that is a 34". You'll need 110 drive links.

Just have a saw shop add what you need. No big deal.

Easier said than done. Most shops around here have never heard of square chain.

So I just mounted this bar on the saw and measured from the front of the saw to the tip....33". OAL end to end laying on the table is 37". I measured the guide groove and it is definitely for 0.050" chain.

Break it and adjust according to fit. Your bar most likely has the dl count stamped on it (you got to look closely). My windsor bars have all details on cardbaord package and on bar at mount end. However its best to make the loop to fit your saw/sprocket size.

One would think!! But not this one is guess. I don't have a breaker and spinner but I guess it's about time maybe. I've been buying chain from Logger Chain and am trying to get semi skip for this bar.
