Why do carving bars produce more torque?

here is my thoughts on the size of sprocket of the bar the arc the chain has to travel on a narrow tip like a carving bar is alot more than a wide body or wide tip bar the arc movement adds heat and friction in the chain . a test you can do is throw a rope over a pipe and pull up 50 pounds and then do the same thing with a small rod in place of the pipe .

I could sure use a carving bar ,did this bowl with .404 and a 32 inch bar ,the gearing was too fast with the long bar .

I use as short of bar as possible on race saws. ... seems to help, less drag.
A carving bars tip is its weak point.
Alot of drag and friction on a dime tip.
If they could make a tiny roller nose it would rock !!

They make a narrow curf carving chain now that cuts like a Lazer my buddy has one
