I've had many fine performing saws from multiple manufacturers, but I've had my fair share of duds/lemons from the same.

For every *s-wordty Husqvarna 240e, there is an equally *s-wordty Stihl MS210. The converse is true, as well, when it comes to properly running Pro Grade saws. I've never been one to play favorites, and someday I hope to own a 034S, 044/046, and an 064 too see what they are all about.

However, I will continue to run my ZCS 5105, MMWS MS390, ZCS 372XP-W, 288XP-W, and 395XP-W.

Skip the 064 Jon. Ive had 2. Got rid of 2. Both ported, both very strong.... but, Too much vibes. Much prefer the 288xp in that class. I wish I had listened to the advice of Ryan, Clint, and Mike and gone with a 461 instead.... I might still own it. I know the 064 is a cult saw like the 288... ford vs chevy, etc. I prefer the 288.

I like a 288 better than 064 as well steve.

I know this isnt a popular opinion but i just really dont see the greatness of the 064..sure a few guys have some that are great runners..but..i always hear about the power to weight thing and im sure that applies to the older 064 with that pathetic air filter , the ones ive held onto with the HD filter set up along with a wrap and dawgs on a west coast cover dont really feel any different than a 661 ... different strokes for different folks.

And the vibes suck. It just seems unrefined when compared to the swedish springs. A ported 85cc saw needs to be smooth. I immediately picked up on the tingling in my hands after just a few cuts.

i had a 562xp that had the PTO bearing cage disintegrate after 3 months, it was repaired under warranty then 6 months later the same thing happened, i wanted my money back but the dealer convinced me to take a new saw, this one lasted 4 months before the piston ring pin came out and destroyed the top end so i got my money back and bought a Stihl ms 362, this was 5 years ago and i have not had any problems with the Stihl even though it has literally done 20 times more work than the 562xp . I cannot recommend the 562xp with a good conscience.

Love my 7 year old 562XP, still going strong with only 2 broken spring mounts in its history.

My Stihl dealer recently told me the Stihl 500i introduction here in Canada this fall is now cancelled. Something about a recall.....

Looked more like an un-Husky thread to me … and the 1st post mentioned a Stihl!!!

My post was not out of line in this thread!
