I ran the snot out of my 562 today in Hedge, Ash, Hackleberry and White Oak. I almost sold this saw off to fund another and I'm truly glad that I listened to my gut and kept it as it's too good not to keep. It's not a 372xp or 10mm 044, but it's a damn nice saw with excellent power and a/v.

My Echos all fell apart on me over time (saws and blowers). Also the design of the 3000 saws, I mean really? The air intake at the front of the saw?! Plus an outboard clutch...

Echo CS-3000 is an 80's design. The 2 mayor brands fans keep comparing 1980 Echos with 2010 to 2016 Stihls and Husqvarnas... I run a CS-350TES every day and have less issues than any MS201T... Also, I've never returned home due to any CS-510 (the new CS-510 and not CS510-VL or EVL from 80's) problems. New models are inboard clutch. I have a Stihl HS81R and it's a complete piece of s h i t. The Echo HCA-266 is a piece of art! I had a Stihl HT-101: pole bent at minor limb hit. Echo PT-2400, less power but indestructable... I Had a Husqvarna 365, it was more at workshop than cutting. My 2 old Echo CS-750VL still run strong...

I found a photo of the carb on the Echo 3000 online (air filter and cover are removed in this photo). Note the prime location right next to the bar...

CS-3000 is a 1980's design. It's not fair to compare a 1980 vs a 2010 design. Try with a Husky 61 (still sold here in southamerica) vs an Echo CS-620SX and you'll find similar design issues...

I like the echo trimmers as I have one myself and I like the pole saws also. I see very few of them in my shop.

They were still selling these 3000 series Echos here. So I say BS to that. Still crap.

Get a real saw like a Stihl MS361. They are still making them in Brazil.

Stihl MS361 is a good saw, but in 60 cc range I would buy an Echo CS-600P.

Well if we are talking which 60cc saw there is no question. The only smart option is the Dolmar 6100.

Utah, unfortunately.....
I've had many fine performing saws from multiple manufacturers, but I've had my fair share of duds/lemons from the same.

For every *s-wordty Husqvarna 240e, there is an equally *s-wordty Stihl MS210. The converse is true, as well, when it comes to properly running Pro Grade saws. I've never been one to play favorites, and someday I hope to own a 034S, 044/046, and an 064 too see what they are all about.

However, I will continue to run my ZCS 5105, MMWS MS390, ZCS 372XP-W, 288XP-W, and 395XP-W.

Where in the heck did you get a 288 with heated handle bar? Can't be many of those!

How do the 288 and 395 compare character-wise?

Well, no Dolly dealers around here. They also left the US once before, and the PNW distributor for Dolmar is a complete turd. Also the 6100 weighs 13.2 lb, and the 361 is a pound less with the same power. So I do not see where that is a smart choice.

I appreciate that many here have 562s that run brilliantly but..

isn't it worrying that out of 4 brand new top of the range, all singing all dancing whizz bang "best in class" professional chainsaws from a top company that were set up by a dealer, all 4 had issues that stopped everyone from enjoying using them, watching someone try to cut down a valuable mill log with a saw that will not idle or rev is painful. This isn't a personal attack on husky owners, I am one but holy crap, trying to use them was just ludicrous

The upshot is that nobody in the woods that week will now entertajn the thought of buying a new husky

I wouldn't buy another 562 either if that happened to me. But there are thousands of 562s' out there running fine.
