Are you talking about the 240 Husky or maybe the 240 Homelite? LoL

Well, to be perfectly honest, in the trees we were felling, very dense hard sugar gum, the 562 was second to the 362 and my 261xb, and I do not like the 362. Not talking pure cutting speed here but the whole package

I like the 562 less

The foresters also do not like the external chain brake, they've already had one get smashed as they couldn't separate the bar from power head
I'm only two pages in... So this may have been covered.
IMO - you can't fall with an external clutch if you can't learn to spin the clutch off with an axe and a scrench.

I like my inboards. No need for more than a scrench with a pinched bar. I have run the absolute snot out of my 036/361, 044/440 and 066/660 saws. The 460 I had was way to buzzy and wore me out. The 441 sucked. But this thread is about newer non-Moobed Huskies... ain't no Dolly dealers here worth a crap (only one has any real inventory), and only one Husky/Kubota dealer here that is any good (where I bought all of mine). There are a half dozen Stihl dealers here that are good, and another dozen that are so-so or crap.

My Echos all fell apart on me over time (saws and blowers). Also the design of the 3000 saws, I mean really? The air intake at the front of the saw?! Plus an outboard clutch...

The air intake in front of the saw?
Trying to get dust free air?

I found a photo of the carb on the Echo 3000 online (air filter and cover are removed in this photo). Note the prime location right next to the bar...
