IIRC, the second video was 33k, I'll dig up a few of the Castle logs
What size prop, how fast do you want to go, and how many cells will you be running on your motor that you want ?
IL be running 11.1v I think it has a 6 inch prop and looking to run 90 to 100 flat out cause I will acro at high speed easier to se a plane in a knife edge

The prop in your picture looks a little bigger than 6 inches .........

A kv of 1600 @ 10 volts will yield you a pitch speed of 113 mph @ 100% efficiency , thats what I'd aim for with your airframe considering motor and airframe losses

I like speed with that style air frame. Low drag air foil smaller control surface. It's a fun plane but not fast enough. My old combat plane I built was a hanger 9 p51 .15 to 20 size nitro. No rudder or landing gear. I made non scale gear and rudder and wedged a evolution 36 in it. Sure was a rocket up against all the other war bird fans that thought theor planes were fast. I'd hang with them for a bit till they got their ego up them unleash the other half throttle I had waiting. It made grin every time I few it

i use to be pretty involved with rc stuff years ago.
Started out with a traxxas T-maxx when i was about 13 or 14.
From there things took off..

At age 15 i got involved with 1/8 buggies.
From about age 15 until about age 19 or 20 i was racing as often as possible.
Got into truggies and all that mess. Had alot of fun.
Left the hobby and then reintroduced my self into the hobby but with planes
and a few helis.
That was expensive.. Got into boats, probably the most fun ive had were with boats.
Got rid of my boats and started building 1/8 monster trucks.

That went on for a few years and then i got out of the hobby again and havent
touched an r/c vehicle since. Its been about 2 years now.

I am planning on getting back into it though with trucks.

Boy was that a bad idea.
My first heli was a heli max novus cp pro.
I dont think i ever was in control of that thing. lol

The small ones don't have the gyro effects as the bigger helis. I like my nano cpx but I like planes better

The bigger the more stable they are, and can handle the wind better. Plus they are easier to see.

About 4 years later i dove in headfirst and ended up being ankle deep with Aquacraft Supervee 27 boats.
had 2 of them, and couldnt stop modding them.
These were my first brushless powered boats.
What a complete blast.

The green boat had a...9xl i think, if i remember correctly.
Obviously a Seaking 180 speed control.
It freaking loved the weight of all of those nimh cells.
Thing was a blast to drive.
Moved it over to lipo eventually and it became a rocket.
Had a few recorded 80,82 and 83.2 mph runs with a gps.
27 inches long and in the 80's, it was stupid. I sold them.

I eventually came across a super clean Super Hawaii that had been converter to dual outdrives with 2 power systems
from a stock Supervee 27. This thing was completely nutty.
Never ever was it designed to go above...20mph. Im not sure how fast it did go... But it was a complete
nut!

I ended up smoking a pair of lipo's in it, warped quite a bit of the ABS, sold it soon after.

Anyone know which RTR boat looks the best as far as scale looks go?

The ShockWave36! From Proboat.
Easily, my most missed boat.

I bought this thing super cheap, the dynamite .36 powerplant had been modded to some extent.
It completely screamed.

I loved this boat.
36"s long, it would run in the high 30's, lower 40's at most.
Just awesome boat all around.
Handled great, looked great.
I had a OS .46 marine engine lined up for it, was in the middle of making the mounts for it
and then lost interest in it over night.

Ended up killing the .36 engine, it ate a rear bearing and all the shrapnel traveled through the engine.
Should of had another .36 done for it but ended up selling it all.
These boats are hard to come by now.. hardly ever see one for sale anywhere or even see one out on the water.

I run a 1/8 scale brushless buggy now, by ECX. I used to run a nitro OFNA buggy, had a Sportmaxx as well, but I can't stand the price of nitro anymore, so I went electric and got a Slash. Got bored of that so I went back to buggy.
