I need a second one to run on the other end of my double ended 72” mill, as much power as an 090 has it still grunts milling a sappy whitepine that’s 40” or larger

2- Ported MS661s are better for 72” bar size milling.

Don’t have 3000$ for 2 ported 661’s and I already have an 090 and 075. Tried my 064 on a smaller log milling with a 25” bar, just didn’t seem to make the torque to pull well unless the chain was perfectly sharpened. I know the 064 isn’t a comparison to a 661 I just thought about using 2 of them on that 72” have parts to make a second one but I don’t think it would do well enough with 2 064’s. Also has stuff to build a small case 066 redlite and an 051 to run opposite the 075 on the big bar but I don’t know if that’s enough either.

I thought you were running a 661 already?

No wish I had one not there yet, and the 075 was my first big saw and don’t want rid of it. The 090 was given to me by a friend who didn’t use it. Knows I like to slab trees and have a chainsaw problem

uz I just picked one up locally from a local logger, and he told me he bought it back in the 80’s. I’m just wondering if it’s worth keeping?

Nice score!....Is it still running the original electronic ignition ?
