Maybe 'have access to' would be more appropriate. I asked the guy at the dealer the other day about the standard carb 462 and he looked at me like I was out of my head...
Wow. I was able to get the carb version much quicker than the CM. Matter of fact I ordered two CM's at a dealer and called to see when they arrived and he had gotten carbies instead. This may be a limited amount of saws, but for now they are available.

With the 2012 exchange rate the 346xpg was over a grand here in Sweden. With the much stronger dollar it would now be about 800ish.
Ouch. That's expensive. I'm seeing 550 down to 450 and the shops are most probably negotiable.

Sometimes prices drop on 550's but the norm is they are about 100 bucks more than 560's.

According to the dealer I talked to locally Husqvarna is strict with pricing where as there is a little more wiggle room with Stihl. It is also easier/faster getting things covered by warranty with Stihl. Husqvarna has a bigger market share and Stihl is trying to take some of that away with being easier going according to this guy.

I was curious if and when Husqvarna stopped offering the 346XP in the US or NA. We still have them on the shelves here, and in the catalogs, so I wasn't even aware that they had stopped selling them in some places until I heard talk of it over the forums.
Is the Husqvarna 61 listed there? I know it is offered in the Brazilian market with the 272, and 288, and non x-torq 372.

I think the Brazilian market is a bit more specialized than ours. We are main stream Husky and are offered a few exceptions due to geographic location--the 572 and the 346. Unless you see some others on the list below that are different from the US market, our offerings are pretty comparable to the US. One other standout maybe the the T425 top handle that is Japanese made. I have one and I love it!

Both have been strict on pricing, but that depends on the dealer mostly as I've understood it. I've gotten cursed at on eBay for asking an Italian guy why their Husqvarna pole saws were 150 Eu more than the ones in Greece--same models. He really was offended that I had PM'ed him and inquired about the pricing.

I've got some dealers that I won't even bother speaking with anymore and others that will automatically give me a price discount without me even asking. It took me a long time and a lot of conversations to get setup that way. I was buying saws in the US and Germany off of eBay and shipping them over and still saving money over the previous list prices here. Now I can get saws for comparable prices to the US.

My wife paid $400 for mine three years ago, the dealer could not sell it. A few weeks ago he asked if I still had it, because a tree service was looking for a clean one. I said no even know he offered $800. It is very special that she bought it for me and it is an awesome running little saw!

According to what's happening on fleaBay, I would say $800 isn't far off. This fellow is asking $795 for a used one. Not the only one either...there are quite a few listed for over $700. I can get a brand new one and ship it to the US for cheaper than that.

Wasnt there a period of overlap where both the 346 and 550 were catalogued? As I remember that version of the 346 was practically a 550 with the older model number.
No, I never saw that and I was lookin pretty close at the time.

Crazy! I picked up a new (display) 346XP in 2014 for $404 out the door. I never thought to look at the tag for the year of manufacturer. That was about the same time I picked up the new (display) 357XP PHO for the same money.
Last new one I saw on a shelf was 2015, for $579. I thought it was too high, but now wish I'd of bought it.

cool, thanks for sharing!
They're selling them in several countries, they update 346's IPL's now and then, so them 346's are still in production.
If they decide it they would sold quite a bit 346 xpgs in Scandinavia, but I've heard the profit is bigger on 550 xpg.
