Ran plenty of 044s and like em alot. I like my 7910 a whole bunch too. Kind of feels like the best of both worlds.

I have always liked using my 441. It's just so smooth to run. The 460 is a very close 2nd . More grunt with more vibes.

Thanks for that. It's partially my fault, in these times I shoulda known better than to leave it unattended period! Lesson learned!

044/440, hands down. I traded my last 044 for a newer 441, but that was a mistake. So I sold it. I also sold my 372 (which was not a bad saw) with my other husky saws with my second Bandit chipper a while back. Now I am 70cc sawless. I am waiting for the new 461 to come out.

I've heard good things about the 461. But mostly from the Stihl dealer and his followers. Would like to run one and see for myself before I go spending hard earned cash.

272xp for me as well. In the process of building another..had one stolen, and gave one away for a present. Always just felt good to me.

McCulloch Super 6-10 Auto. My grandpa had one since new. It's the saw that started my chainsaw problem.

I don't know if I am qualified to answer seeing the OP said Stock saw.

Hands down the 7910 for me. I had a 460 and once I ran a 7900 I sold it.

I have not had much time on a 044/440, so maybe I don't know what I am missing. But as I like to say, Ignorance is Bliss
