395 I just finished up, case half had jb weld on it before, couldn't even mount the dawg, piston was scores, put new meteor piston in, used case half, new gaskets, seals, etc. This one was a G model but someone took all the G parts except the flywheel, test tomorrow then for sale.15421717952442190792717220687338.jpg 1542171837074388399990666650406.jpg 15421718620071153296237496035016.jpg

there is some differences between "E and II types" of these "135, 435, 440" saws. if the coil goes bad, be sure what type saw u have, or order by partnumber what's on the coil. i had once case where i tryed to swap brand new coils, between them and they only worked when they had "right" coil setup.
Thanks bud, I never thought about that.
My 435 is a vII and non E saw (that 445 coil won't be used).

Project came on hold though, due flywheel bearing&seal:

Well, I wanted to see how they look inside anyway (will check who make the bearings, but they are special made for 435, kinda 6001 size except OD):

OEM factory tool for 435/440/543, # 502 50 30 22 (this need to be improved):

Boxed, waiting for bearings&seals (will be a keeper):

What is different in the xp and xpg

I do believe G is for generator and it has the circuitry and wiri g for heated handles. I have seen a couple saws modified by emergency workers and linemen that took the heated handle models, disconnected the heated handle and installed small LED work light to the front of the saw. Brilliant in my opinion. If I had to work in a bucket at night I would KILL to have a bright light illuminating the bar and cutting area.

That is a very good ideal

I'd like to see details on how to do that. My brother has a heated handle MS 460.
Its not difficult. Disconnect the wires going to the handle, attach wires for an LED. Light comes on with the heated handle switch. You can fab up some sort of mount for a cat eye LED bolt. A simple 90* bracket on top of the plastic over the muffler or on the starter side.

Got this one from work. Complete. Getting stripped down and cleaned and a good look over.

I don't have a ton of stuff, but I do have a few random pieces and parts for one of these laying around. If you need something, give me a shout and I will see if I have it. Pretty sure I have a good intake and maybe an AV mount or 2.
If you need the small front AV mounts, get oem, I have yet to find an aftermarket that fits, they are all too large in diameter.

Thanks bud. I believe everything will be ok. But I'll know more once I get to start reassembling after clean up.

To much chit, got behind hunting and processing. dads 180 that carb took a poop.

Anyone else seeing the stihl oem fuel filters letting a bunch of chit by now days. Another guy over at my place noticed it too.

If the guy dont buy this 475 set up it's going on the 415 on the bench.

Yeah, but all he needed to do was straighten the linkage a little, lol

That's what I kind of thought, but was not sure if there was something I was missing! I'm guessing more time was spent jacking around getting the hose on there than it would have taken to bend the link.
