Im In the house now. I think around .050. I had some solder that was like .036 and it was sloppy in there.
I’ve learned a thing or two about squish measuring over the years.

As you all know, find the solder that’s closest to the squish you are measuring.

When you turn an 019 squish saw over with 024 solder, you will barely (if any) feel resistance. I now turn all of my saws over with a portable drill from the crank nut for squish measurement. My old .020 were really more like .016. Point is, if you can still feel the piston hit the solder, you’ve gotta turn it more.

You won't be disappointed with that one.

So you wanted to spend ‘quality time’ instead of getting the job done quickly...

Too intimidating to put a bar on? I can tell that 395 is a rabid dog just by the decal on the top cover.

Kevin did a fantastic job with the 395. It is “the king” of all of my saws. I intended on running it, as I am cutting big big wood this weekend. Some logs need to be cut from both sides and I’ve got a 32” bar on the MMWS066.

The issue is that I’m using 404 RM chain, the stuff just doesn’t dull. Between my confusion about the DL needed for Stihl vs. Husky and my lack of 404 sprockets, I just couldn’t get it right. I plan on grabbing some 404 sprockets off of Mopar today and setting the 395 up with a 36 .404 that @Moparmyway so graciously supplied.

I’ve also got a @Redfin / OPE RiffRaff 288 here that I was unable to use for the same reason.

One thing is for sure, the big guns really suck down fuel.

Yup. But it beats looking for all the stuff that the Hooskies spit out on the ground. [emoji23]
I have heard this many many times but I think if I loose a bolt it's because I have failed to tighten it up just snuged it I really don't think one is any worse than the other now that's just my opinion.

041, spits screws out even with Loctite. Never did figure out why, must be something about the harmonics of that particular model.

I can’t concur with this. The FB (with a super p/c) has yet to lose any nuts/bolts. I did replace the vast majority of the nuts/bolts with new stainless hardware. In regards to the notorious “intake bolts loosening” issue, I just tossed a stainless lock washer with the new stainless bolts. After 6 tanks not a single nut/bolt has come loose.

Guaranteed I just jinxed myself.

I really REALLY hate working on concrete saws. Contemplating turning this TS760 to a chainsaw....... Worth the effort? Would make a fun 111cc toy I think.

Just to clear up confusion I currently have:
Stihl TS760
Dolmar 343
Partner 650
Partner 700

Pretty sure the Dolmar 343 is going to donate its P/C-intake-carb-muffler to my 133 build.

Haven’t even looked at the Partners yet.

Do you want the muffler like it is, or painted to look new ?

I love this saw !!
She has a ton of grunt and she isn’t even through 1/2 of a tank yet !

Can’t slow her down by pushing, you havta dog her in or lower the rakers a bunch. Running 8 tooth 404 with a 25” bar and off the roll RM
