You serious? I was being a bit of a smartass as other than overnighting one it didn’t seem probable. I was just going to lend him the 038 to use
Possibly yeah, worth a shot. I think you’ll have to end up lending him saw.

I think that’s the best bet. No sense in counting on rush shipping and it getting lost in the mail. Too much of that happening recently.

I greatly appreciate the quick response with a feasible solution. I probably should have made it more clear I was joking, but you really stepped up. Big thumbs up to you, bro.

No problem :beer-toast1:, Bob is pretty good with the husky parts.

Husky 365/372 X-Torq Conversion

Slowly ordering parts to finish this one.
All OEM except Meteor Piston and Caber Rings

Still need a couple parts and new decals, but its almost running
Need to find muffler screws, brake flag, better looking recoil, bar nuts, order new caber rings (snapped one of course), and a few screws for the recoil and such.

Walked out today and found that my dad had dropped off my grandads old fs81. I have an fs80 and an fs90 but this one seems to be built just for what I want it for (brush clearing) with the bicycle handlebars and the different drive system. Got it cranked and tuned (hasn’t ran in probably 15 years) and put the blade on it and had a little fun on some small pine trees.

No good. U could have cancelled the order and reordered by now
I finally got it...usually happens a day or two after I complain. Caber rings didn't fit the cylinder so I ended up using the ones that came with the piston. I have a feeling that the rings were 52mm when I ordered 50mm. I had the saw running for a few seconds today but it didn't have a muffler on it so I shut it off quickly. I still have a exhaust gasket coming, this one from the US.

I bought this saw back in 2013. With shipping it was $20.
Thought it was a Homelite Super EZ
Automatic.
It's actually a Homelite EZ, with manual oiler only.

This one will be on and off my bench as I find parts for it. It will take awhile,
because I'm cheap, and this saw needs alot.
A few pics, first two are before, third pic is the parts I put on 2 days ago.

After all the waiting and shipping snafus my Dolmar 7900 tank arrived...... Only problem is it isn’t a 7900 tank; its a a 5100 tank. What the hell!
Well, that sucks - and not in a good way!

eBay?
Return or refund?

Anyone need a very good condition 5100 tank?

So what was on the bench today.?
Another Homelite.
Homelite XL-12.
I've had this one for about 5 years, but who knows how many years it was sitting at my neighbors dad's house. He rescued it from a scrap pile. His son has the twin to it.
This was the last saw my dad worked on before he passed.

It was locked up but I freed it up today, and piston and bore look good.
A few pics from today.PSX_20180419_220326.jpgPSX_20180419_220216.jpgPSX_20180419_215821.jpg

Havta remember to tighten the clutch before a piss rev

View attachment 121429

Almost as bad as forgetting to tighten the spark plug and trying to figure out why it runs like shiit........

We’ve all done it, bro. Anyone who claims they haven’t is either a *f-wording liar or never worked on something before.
