Parts on the way.View attachment 116800 it's in great shape just the piston and cylinder needed attention.
It's much lighter than his 290.

Well that’s not to bad all in all. Are you able to clean up the cylinder.

Got the 394 into some wood when the owner came to pick it up; he was all smiles, grinning like a little kid at Christmas. Couple tanks to break in and then lean it out a little bit for a good working tune.

A friend of ours went up home to visit last week and brought back my Dad’s (now mine) 026 and my Brother’s 038 Magnum for me. I am beyond excited to have my old man’s saw, it still runs but he says its “tired”. Saw was never abused but has seen a lot of work, its in much better condition than I remembered, especially for being purchased in 1992.

The 038 has a fried p/c. Going to overhaul it, maybe a little porting/polishing, a MM and send it back to him. Anyone got an 038 Magnum cyl for sale?

None of the 394; only took pics from the tearsown but not the build. About 100 hours altogether (I work pretty slow due to physical limitations/disability and do my best to emulate the professionals here after studying as much of their threads and posted pics as I could).

I’ll snap pics of the 026 and 038 tomorrow.

Yeah, that lil guy hurt. Quite a bit. Not the first time, won’t be the last time. That was a slip with a hammer drill and the phillips bit gave me a little bite.
