Dang you are right, same basic chassis as a 288 but 52mm bore vs. 54mm, supposedly the 281 had better timing from the factory than the 288. They also make a great five cube race saw.

If you talked to the owner you would understand, I don't think he has ever owned or operated any kind of OPE before in his life.

Exmark is far and above THE number one brand with landscapers around here. You would be surprised how many first time buyers go with an exmark because "if the pros run it then it must be good."

Yes it was covered under warranty, it is an "Exmark" engine which appears to be a clone of the GXV Honda.

So today I cut a load of wood and used the new to me MS201TC.

It starts great,but has a hesitation/bog when you hit the trigger.

This is the first auto tune saw I’ve played with and I just dumped out the original fuel and poured my fuel in.

How long does it take to reset itself?

There steam phosphating steel parts takes all the oils off and have to dry right away

That one is Dustin s saw he takes g pod care of them. They were the saw that took the place of the 181 just a step under the 288 I can't remember the hp ra t ing on it was.
