Have an 021 with a no bar oil issue.
Tank, filter, line , vent are clear. Pump to bar is clear and worm gear looks good.
Pump turns freely but NO oil flow.

Pressurized oil tank still no flow.

Problem appears to be in or at the pump which is only accessable by pulling motor .
Clamshells are a pain.
I would rather work on a 4 mix weedeater.

Encapsulated with undercoating.
This strut plate rusted through.20190706_133731.jpgDon't know if it caused all the damage
But it helped.

If you spray over junk it will still be junk lol. If it's prepared right the undercoating is not the problem.

I fixed the melted portion of the brake flag on this 3210xp. I cut a little channel for some metal I epoxied inside to give it some strength. I then tied the flag back with some rope to its original shape while the JB was drying.

The heat had made it a little spongy feeling. It feels solid now. I think it turned out pretty good. It should be far enough away from the outlet to not melt again

You don’t have to pull the motor it comes out the bottom. Remove the wrap handle, then there is a plastic cover held on by one screw. Remove it and then you’ll see the pump which can be removed with a screw the right threads and size.

Update on the 372xp, went through my normal checks, pressure vac tested the fuel, impulse lines, as well as the tank vent, all tested great! I had already pulled the muffler and piston looked new. I pulled the carb an checked it out, there was a peace of junk in the impulse port!! Thought I had her done! And sure enough after reassembly, the tune went rich and needed a the standard 1 turn out tune..it sounded great! It came in pho, so I put on a 32” bar an chain, it was a total turd! Lol So I did a compression check, only 90 psi hot! Checked squish, .075!! Then I took the top end off, China 365!!! Lol

New junkyard find, mexican production ProMac trimmer engine: spark ok, decent compression and piston, it needs a total check up of fuel line/carb etc.

Exhaust port with a nice bridge, in capable hands it could be a tiny monster

Stranger Things in muffler orifice!
did they throw it away because of this?
A sort of wasp nest, quite common

Wrong california boy
From new with whatever encapsulated treatment applied
I've seen frames rust through in a few year's.
Not a brand issue either.
Diesel fuel/motor oil mixed people here
Sprayed once a year frames never hardly rust
Vehicle's wear out frames still good.

 that crap looks like it would make it hard to work on too. Never had it but man looks horrible.

I use oil diesel mix on this 3rd plow truck. But it was to far gone on frame already. Just buying time. So far 2 for 2 on ole plow truck frames rusting and breaking. #3 still holding on.

Tried that fluid film. OK on some things but not great for frames IMHO. Dont last through the winter IMO.

Several shops i know of won't do anything except fluid changes or engine/trans work
On many of those undercoated vehicle's.
Modern vehicles have multiple frame grounds
It's a pain to find a bad one.

Ether as per Stihl manual (see pics)..or substitute the Stihl screw in tool/Lever for a bolt of the correct thread and use that to pull on to extract the pump from the bottom side of the saw. Should be the same on your 021.
