T525 arrived from @AlfA01 a few months back and I destroyed it on its first job.

Dan comes to the rescue with the required parts and bonus tiny little dogs.

The intake boot broke, the two part handle, start/stop switch. That’s about it. I was able to reuse all the other parts. Tough little saw; a tremendous amount of force was exerted on that handle and nothing else was damage. Even the sticker beneaf it was perfect.

Day of, after I picked up all the pieces

Blue taped the intake to protect it while the wait for parts began.

Parts arrived today and I got to it. It looks brand new. Not a mark on it.

This was on the bench tonight. Local arborists saw. Came in not running right. It was making a clicking noise when you pulled it over and wouldn’t hold a tune.
So after a gasket kit, carbkit, fuel filter, new impulse line and rebuilt the bottom end with new bearings and a good used crank it’s ready for a test drive tomorrow.
We found the rod bearing very early into the failure. The piston only had a few light scratches and the rings and cylinder were still near perfect so they all got reused after a good cleaning.

I've been thinking about moving and what a hassle it's gonna be...

It SUCKS! Only been in this house 3.5 years and its hard to believe how much is here. We moved here from about 35 minutes away, so were able to make multiple trips and take our time moving in. Now it is “all in one and done”. Cleaning out the garage, going to pre-stage everything in there for layout/packing plan for the truck (lay tape on the floor in the size of the truck box to play tetris and have it all figured out). Time goes SUPER FAST when you are moving.

I hear you. I moved to VA after college in 2005 with all I owned in the back of a ford ranger. I moved back to PA 9 years later, with the biggest uhaul they make, an 8’ pickup bed, and 2 minivans. I still had to sell and give stuff away.

Super nice low hour IMO jonsered 2159 dropped off today. Piston + cylinder all look new. Psi was good to go.
Checked coil and got spark after some cleaning on mags on fly. Shortened up the new fuel line someone had just done. Fires off mix squirted in, but not pulling from tank. Going to pull carb for rebuild and check impulse line.
Plastic clamp still tight. If mine I would be popping it off for update. Told him to keep a eye on it and what to look for.

Not bad for 35 non runner :p

I was certain the Echo was a toy saw, but after looking another 4-5 times it appears to be a true top handle chainsaw.

Either the Echo is tiny, or the Stihl is ginormous!
Great picture.

The Echo is that small and the Stihl is pretty big. Really like those little Echo 2511 saws
