I’ll be honest; I have overhauled several saws that were in that condition. Once I split the case and got them cleaned all up I slapped a used crank assembly, new bearings and seals, a Meteor/Cabers and saved the cyl. One was an 028 and it just came back to me for some recoil repair after well over a year of continuous use.
yup, everything is possible if we're patience enough.
I've put together saws with a bit here and a bit from there, its actually fun work.
That said, there is very little hope for those 3 saws, I still gotta split them and see how bad the crankcases are, but here is a list of ruined parts (at least them)
42 special, crank, bearings, carb, top end, oil pump?
254 anniversary, crank, bearings, carb, piston, flywheel, clutch,
257, crank, bearings, top end, carb, 257 had actually most corrusion, sad thing, wasnt much used.

I'll pick the usuable parts and trow the rest.

Nice looking unit there. Would like to have one of those for myself, worked over a bit of course.
