Some delicious prime new york strips. Went for ribeye, but these were on sale. After smoking these beauties they were cut up and put in a big ol pot of chili. People thought I was crazy. Then they tried the chili. I do believe they still thought I was crazy, but had to admit it was some of the best chili they'd ever had. ;)20191109_170746.jpg 20191109_175212.jpg

It's a 12" Charlie. Those things work great! Are you still using one?

Not much anymore with the new smokin-it smoker. But the 6" ones work very good in the baby Weber, and the old smoker.

A few pics from the Christmas day cook. I believe the butts were a close up from Thanksgiving.
The chicken was "spatchcocked" and came out very juicy. I did not brine it but it was very tender and juicy.
There was a whole 20lb brisket cooked Christmas day as well. No pics of it. The only one I had was with it
wrapped (lack luster and boring sorry). At Thanksgiving we also tried something new -- brisket tacos. WOW!
Happy New Year guys. I enjoy the pics of your cooking. I pray the best year is ahead for all of you.
