Supper tonight is smoked jalapeno summer sausage, with steamed potatoes. Did 6 chubs today in the smoker, took about 9.5 hours.
Looks damn good Charlie.

I hate to say it but I've never had grits. I'm sure I would love them, not sure why I've never tried to make them.

A friend of mine was coming from the Midwest (He is a guy from the mountains here in NC, where grits are a staple for breakfast). He stops in Missouri somewhere for breakfast. He asks the hostess before she seats them, "Do you folks serve grits?" her reply, "We serve all kinds of people in here, you come on in!" :risas3:

Yes, I do love grits. I had some this morning with some sausage gravy on top.

Couple thin pork chops, my first grits ever, slice of tomato, applesauce, can of baked beans, and a chunk of baguette. Liked the grits alot even though I think I cooked them too long. Vodka soda to wash it down, had a rough day!

Golabki. Polish cabbage rolls. Recipe from my dads mothers side. Once a year my parents make a ton of them for a few family members. They are wonderful! Had them with mashed potatoes and extra "juice" from the roaster :)

Grits look maybe just a little over done to me, but it’s a personal preference down here. Some people like them a little runny some people like them like that. I like them in between.
We have had chicken tortilla soup the last two nights. Roasting some cinnamon pecans right now though.

Was my thoughts also. Wasn't bad for my first go. Plans to try again tomorrow for a much looser batch

I love cabbage rolls. My Grandma made them and they were amazing. Some how my mom and aunt failed to learn how to make them like Grandma did. They farked them up something horrible.

@Flint Mitch, Try more butter, salt, and a little pepper, grits are good with lots of butter and salt. You can also try the instant grits. They come in different flavors.
