Had a little snack of smoked summer sausage and crackers before supper, which ended up being frozen pot pies.

College daughter and one of her roommates (roommate had a Dr's appt locally) came by and ate with me yesterday evening. They wanted breakfast so I scrambled a dozen eggs with melted mild cheddar, lb of bacon in a big 14" skillet, grits with butter and same melted, grated mild cheddar, and toast with butter and jelly. I damn near passed out in the recliner after a couple of plates of that stuff washed down with about half a gal of milk.

Italian sausage links with noodles and Alfredo sauce, and homemade sweet potato pie for dessert.

Breakfast goodness! Nothing like it. (But I do love some country ham and red-eye gravy :D)

Agree on the country ham (here in GA we've always called it Talmadge Ham, but the same thing) and red-eye gravy...and sling in some big ol' cathead biscuits!

"catheads" OH YES, I'm with you on that one. :D

...excellent! You ever get by Academy and pick up any of those Fiesta brand seasonings? Ain't the best, but will definitely suffice.

I did pick up some seasonings. Tasting, testing and trying to come up with something I really like. (old redneck rule -- don't serve it if you don't really eat it).
You are a great help my friend.
