Last night browned and drained 2 1/2lbs of ground chuck...made nachos with jalapenos, cheese, queso, sour cream, salsa. Washed down with half a gal of milk...damn good but didn't take long for the gutburn to set in.

It was good but not REALLY good.
The name of the place was Sassys.
I had brisket. My boss, who was in from LA, had ribs and Chicken.
He raved about the food but then again, he's from California.

Understood about the guy from the left coast -- the land of fruits and nuts.
I love brisket, but I don't eat it everywhere I see it served. (a bit picky you might say)
But I do like to try new places -- one of the places I hope to visit is Salt Lick BBQ near Austin Texas.
Found a few videos on the TUBE that peaked my interest. Thanks for sharing your insight.

Yesterday evening made eight over easy eggs, big plate of grits, cut all the eggs up over the grits, five pieces of bacon, four pieces of butter and orange marmalade toast. Knocked it all down with about a gallon of the moo juice. Was some good eats!

Tri Tip roast on the grill, some kind of Potatos, fresh green beans and sweet corn.
I took the photo before I realized there were green beans.

Smoked baby back ribs, baked beans seasoned with smoked brisket, potato salad, deviled eggs, sweet corn and strawberry-blackberry-raspberry tureen for desert. Here's a pic of the ribs.
