What's next? No Cummins? They might as well replace the L9 with the new 6.7 as good as it is.

I'd be all for a 7 or 8 speed MANUAL.
Yeah, I always wished my G-56 had another OD gear.

I guess to be rated to hold 1000 lb ft of input torque, a manual trans would need to be pretty beefy (too big for a pickup).

“The 2019 Ram Heavy Duty (2500 and 3500) is officially the first heavy-duty truck from the US' Big Three to reach 1,000 pound-feet of torque. That monster output comes as part of an optional 6.7-liter Cummins diesel I6, which also makes 400 horsepower. Yet, the engine weighs some 60 pounds less than its previous iteration, thanks to a new cast-iron cylinder head, lighter pistons, new connecting rods and bearings, in addition to an all-new exhaust manifold and tweaked variable-geometry turbocharger.

If you're after diesel, but not the full-bore kit, there's another Cummins on offer with 370 hp and 850 lb-ft.

In terms of transmissions, the big-boy Cummins mates to a six-speed Aisin automatic that's built specifically to handle all that torque. The other, less powerful Cummins variant uses a different six-speed automatic, while the gas V8 hooks up to an eight-speed automatic.“

I'd like an extra low gear for easier heavy load starts, and an extra high one for mpg to practically idle down the highway or interstate. Manual of course is good for mpg if you know what you're doing.

If they could handle the torque, I'd like a manual clutch CVT with a thumb slider on the steering wheel to adjust the ratio with.

all these new diesels are a step backwards...bigger displacement with less power, lower MPG's and less reliable
My 6.7 hauls ass compared to any other diesel I’ve ever driven... including my ‘06 Cummins, and my brother’s ‘17 Cummins.

Got a new grill.. not sure if I like it or not.

Had a painter buddy paint it to match the truck.. I wanted to do the middle black also, but he said it wouldn’t work very well with all the little nooks and crannies.

He wouldn’t take any money when I picked it up!

Also Prius drivers.
I just drove from Northern Ca to the Bay Area and back, and I will say that most of the *a-holes I saw today were driving Hondas or big rigs. Mostly Hondas though. Almost got hit by a guy who cut me off while texting, driving 75 mph, and it was raining like a sumbitch.

Also can’t believe how many people that go by me and they are staring at their phones. Scary.

Yep pretty bad for sure. What's worse is seeing a cop playing on the phone driving.
