Had a very few dead leaves on it. Thought it was a catalpa but am having second thoughts. These are 3’ rounds. Stuff requires a wedge for first split. Cant identify the smell; seems to change with every stick. Thanks
very stiff and inflexible.My guess is it's a hickory. Is the bark really hard and rigid? ie, if you can separate a piece from a round is it really stiff and inflexible?
It usually kills mature trees , and is across the USA from what I readI picked ash because of it being dead and the emerald ash borer that's killing them
