still being somewhat new to the chainsaw scene, I was wondering what some of the most collectible saws to you are. Whether it is for sentimental reasons, or pure rare collectability. One of the next big saws I want to get is a Mac 125...not super rare, but it will probably be my first full tear down, powder coat, shelf queen.

PHIHL. Not rare by any means but definitely the most valuable saw to me personally.

A White Whale saw to me would be something extremely rare. So anything made by Charles Wolf, who was an inventor and experimenter, would be desirable. A Wolf Sawing Machine would be an incredible find in any condition.

I have most of the saws that I had on my always wanted list. I'm going to start looking for older Pioneer/IEL saws next.

I'm pretty fond of the 8800. What model Homelite would fit the white whale category?

Well, yeah ...

... but you also know that saw you arranged to get to me was a gear drive, right?

..... and the Strunk is a gear drive, too.

... perhaps I should bring my Mac 895 in July so you can experience gear drive power ...

I have pretty much zero interest in any saw built in the last 25 years
