What cookimg on your wood stove

Not sure if many use ther wood stove to cook on. I just recently started. Not.really sure why bit i enjoy it.

So if you use your for cooking lets see what you can make on it.


Today for lunch i made deer steak and squash on the wood stove.

I’ve been wanting to get a old coffee percolator and a frying pan.

Case half’s are all I’ve heated this far.

Get an old used aluminum kind with glass knob, those work well and the basket is a bit finer so the dreags don't fall into the pot as bad. Get also a used iron frying pan caked with burnt grease on the sides and handle. Those will clean up real nice plus you know it has been seasoned well, and will be American made, not the cheap Chinese crap.

My great aunt had/has one just like you described and I remember it sitting on the coal stove in kitchen when I was a kid. I really need to stop and visit with her and find out about it. She’s 90 or 91 and was born and raised on the farm so I’m sure its been around for a long time! Would be cool have it in the shop.

I cooked almost nightly on my old Earth Stove. Won't have the new Drolet running until next week, I'll probably cook on it too! I have a thin carbon steel lodge fry pan that works nicely
