That splitter is pretty quick. Very nice. Never have used one yet always been hydrolic.

Yeah it is quick on stuff below 12” it’s pointless using this one on the bigger knotty stuff it would probably shorten it’s working life
Got the tractor splitter for these big uns

I have been interested in a kinetic splitter but I tow my splitter 6 miles to the woods.

They are good little splitters this one is electric so I need the generator but
When it’s set up at the right height with a proper table it’ll be fantastic

I like to keep the mess in the woods. I have split at home when the ground is thawing and i need to get the firewood out of the woods.
I tend to forget that the luxury of having 5 acres in BFE is room to work and neighbors who don't care about the occasional woodlot-esqe aesthetics.

I will say this, I split in my side yard and for whatever reason the SS creates far less scrub that my hydro ever did. I purchased a 3 point rake for my tractor just to clean up the mess my hydro made, I don’t need it anymore.

No worries I spell with Jarhead spelling, is that the slippery stuff. Where are you putting it? My table is pretty slick already.

On the table, a form-fitted sheet of it. It makes the wood glide. Though loading larger rounds could make it a bit sketchy. I may still do it on my Special Edition.

Owners of a SS who haven't added UHMWPE to the table are working harder, slower, and putting more wear on their SS than they have to.
That is all.
You're Welcome.
:)

Any pics? Just curious to see it on the table, and how you attached it.

Not anywhere near splitter, sorry. Sandhill Crane posted pics of his on AS. Mine was similar, except I added rebar to the table at the leading edge of the plastic to stop wood slithers from getting between plastic and metal. If cut plastic close enough to the beam don't really need it
