It's all good, spent an hour on the phone with PA Dan and I was getting cold anyway.

I did the same on a 272xp build! Lol! Hardest part was getting the square head in the slot while tightening the nut with the stack of washers!

Yeah it sucks sometimes lol. I figured that trick out a couple years ago when a friend of mine kept bringing in every other saw with a broken stud (can’t fix stupid) and I dang sure wasn’t splitting cases to change them out.

Yeah, it's one thing to fiddle with it through the oil fill hole in that case. (Ha ha, made a funny! ) But when the case is split, I just didn't feel like chancing that pain in the south end

I have a huge flathead screwdriver, just put the end on the stud from inside the tank. Line everything up. Solid hit on screwdriver and pops the stud in there. I use wire wrapped around stud to pull it in.

Bottom end together. Still waiting on a couple dealer parts I ordered. One of those is the V-Ring that goes behind the oil pump. Making progress

Tank installed with 6 new AV mounts. Trying two rubber up front and four springs in the rear. Gonna give it a try and see how I like it. Subject to change

Oil pump with new crank seal seated flush on the crank bearing side. After pump is installed, it's washer, pump driver gear then dust seal.

@Daserlon sent a 288 cylinder for me to do some grinding on. Getting to the point where my assembly will need to pause for that little project.
