huh... I ran the clip wire under the exhaust port and then pulled up to snap it on... Maybe I put it on upside down??? although I don't think that matters a bit.

I actually couldn't remember which way it went. So, it can go either way.

What remains to be seen is if it looses its temper from engine heat.

It was in a box with bunch of his small engine repair tools and stuff. Thats why i figure something to do with small engines.

Ya thats kind of what i figured too.

maybe valve puller? looks like it would grip the valve...

The ring looks like a cut off wheel arbor bushing...don't know if it just happened on that knob. I keep two or three on my truck keys at any time...I'm out of town right now or I'd snap a picture.

LOL, No suchy thing, I don't think it is a small engine tool either unless it's a homemade one. I have rebuilt many a small engine and have a lot of tools for them. never have I seen or used one like that.

Second one is for removing a condenser on a small engine, it holds the spring down so you can run the wire in the hole. the spring holds the wire in place.
