I don't think reeds combat spitback. The 125 McCulloch was the worst for this. Spitback ocures on most really good running saws I have had. You have a piston port now why convert it to reeds unless you are going to totally open the intake track? Mike

I have an 029 intake boot on my 024 and 026. Works very nicely if you want to continue to run the original throttle arrangement.

I’m running an 029 intake on it now. I’d like to find an intake that is a little shorter but for now it works

No updates on the saw. This spring has been to busy to mess with it. Keeping my eyes out for a ms361 carb for it. My spare time has been shifted over to getting a car ready to go on Rocky Mountain Race Week in June.
