Howdy gents
This is my first post so please bear with me.

I bought a gallon of Vp racing premixed 50:1 and I'd like to dilute it to 40:1 but I don't have any of the Motul 710 2t to match what's in the can.
What's the harm in mixing some stihl ultra that I have in the shop to get this ratio to 40:1?

Also, what are yalls thoughts on this mix? Gonna be running specifically in my Masterminded 461 when it gets here tomorrow. (Super stocked about this saw)

(I know this is not economical but I won't be running that saw often and I like the 94 octane free of ethonal)

They have 40:1. I prefer to buy the straight gas and mix it myself. Tractor supply and a few other stores carry the 40:1. Home depot if you buy a case of the quarts of trufuel 40:1 sometimes comes out just as cheap as the gallons

Yes sir I know it but I just bought that can local at my dealer and that's all he had.
We have a few gas stations that sell ethanol free fuel but I'm limited to 87 octane

Get yourself a quart of 710 and mix it in. Save the rest for all your other saws\ope its great oil. I use 710 exclusively in all my stuff and it loves it! It does not stink or smoke and I love the way my saws and my weed eater run. I also run 40:1

I have been meaning to save up some money and send different brand fuels in to the lab. I'm wondering, with all the additives companies add, what ratios we need to mix at to actually achieve the desired ratio. I would need to send oils in also. Maybe some of these brands mixing 32:1 is actually getting us 40:1. Those numbers aren't based on any facts just saying...
