I have an assortment of saws on hand now including a few nice examples of Jonsereds and maybe one or two Jonsered saws as well... I will have to see just how I go about putting the saws on display to see if I will have extra space or not. As things progress I will keep everyone posted.

The floor was poured on Friday, hooking up the tile to the storm sewer, sidewalk on the corner was poured this morning.

The rest of the sidewalks were finished up this week.



Temporary electrical service is in place as well.



They also finished hauling in the rock between my building and the unit next door. This should allow any water between the buildings to find its way to the tile and eventually down the storm sewer.



The city asked that the areas in front of the curbs be filled in with concrete so they (city) didn't have to patch in with asphalt.




With the sidewalks and the rock finished they will be able to work around most of the perimeter on clean, dry, solid surfaces except for the west end where the driveway will be. That will have to wait for the electricians to finish bringing in the permanent power which should come underground through the alley.

Framing may start next week, or it may be the week following depending on the contractors schedule.

I posted a bit of this over in Another Site, thought I might as well go all out here.

I have a very understanding wife, and we have been blessed by God so when I proposed that I needed (wanted) to build a building to display my saws and a better workshop area for mechanical/welding/machine shop so my home garage and workshop could go back to woodworking and home repairs she agreed.

I found a city lot just down the block from my house, the lot is 25 x 140' so my building will be 23 x 118' and include a display area, library/office/kitchen/break room, and my new workshop.

Trusses arrived today.



2x12 bottom chord for added insulation (will be sprayed on) and plenty of room in the attic space to store parts saws and such.

Contractor is trenching for the electrical supply.


It was 23 F degrees today (that's about -4 for the C crowd) but the crew returned to continue with the framing.
