I may have to put up a sign that says "Caution: Shelves are Unstable, Causing a Collapse May Cost You Big Money".

I did move a few more saws, just some ones that were easy to clean off. I also put up the lighted Stihl sign I have been storing for a few months. My apologies to Road Fixer but you never came to get it so it's now permanent here. It is on the inside wall above the front windows so it can only be seen by those who actually come inside.

People shuffling through will generate a lot of dust. Maybe weekly or monthly blow off of all saws while a powerful shop fan moves air through the building in one door and out the other.

I plan on holding 2 or 3 day GTG's here in the future, everyone will be responsible for 8 or 10 saws to take them out and fuel them, start & run to make sure everything works, drain the fuel and oil, then wipe them down and place them back neatly on the shelves where they found them.

or not.

I figure don't gas them if that's any kind of good for them? Maybe there's a storage solution to use, so they don't need running?

Could you imaging 50 chainsaw nuts running out into the street firing up 2 chainsaws each :risas3:

Why not, we could have a parade or maybe lay out some sheets of plywood and let the saws have a dance off.

This week our little town will have it's "Razzle Dazzle" Christmas tree lighting on Wednesday evening...the tree in in the middle of the intersection of Main and State streets and my building is on the southwest corner of the intersection so we need to have something ready for visitors. Mrs. Heimann thought we needed to have a tree so she decorated it with 1/4" pitch chain as a garland and outfitted it with yellow and black lights.

In the background you can see the standards going up for some shelving on the walls to accommodate more saws.

I made some progress on getting some shelves up on the wall today. This will be a rather tedious process as I have to glue and tack the edge on the plywood shelf, allow the glue to cure fully, sand and paint the shelves and allow the paint to dry, set the shelves up in the brackets, join the ends with a splice, and then secure the shelves to the brackets.

I counted saws in the museum today, looks like an even 100 so far. I'll try to get another 20+ cleaned up and moved over on Wednesday in preparation for the tree lighting ceremony that evening.

I have also moved most of my chain inventory over to the new shop. I still have a few more boxes of odds & ends in the attic as well as a large quantity of packaged, pre-made loops.
