Locking pliers don't really live long around me. Either get hit by a big hammer or zapped by the plasma cutter or a welder or an angle grinder. I have a few pairs of the new Bremen ones from harbor freight. Seem as good as anything else out there today and 8 dollars. I have some old Vise Grips that don't have the little release lever. Tough as heck but a PITA to release.

Snap On set doesn’t technically locklike “Vise grips” but man they have a lot of but I like them in all sizes.
