I’d buy one in a heartbeat over a new MS880 or 3120.

I know nothing about these..
Tell me why they’re better.
I’m genuinely curious.

Besides the fact that it looks like a total throwback...
Awesome.

Thanks for the tip. I've been looking for an older saw but would definitely rather new. I ordered a new trailer so the saw will have to wait a bit but I really like my Echos.

Not available in US but some guys have had help importing them. No personal experience but they seem to be very happy with the saws. A search will lead you to various threads here.

Awesome.

The 3 880s I’ve had were a dog in stock form, & in order to make an 880 stronger than a stock 1201, $300 worth of parts & $300 for a Port job will be in order.

I’ve not had much experience with a 3120, but I understand a 3120 is similar in stock form.

I’ve never ran an 880 but the 3120ies I used at the last job sat too long and we’re good once they got warmed up but were buggy..

My Tree Monkey 066 smoked the 3120.
but that’s mine and I give it lots of love and never put it up wet after riding it hard.

I sold my 1st 880 after my Monkeyed 660 spanked it: both with 36” bars.

That ECHO is a Beast Stock: it’s like an 090 with good AVs that turns more RPM.

P.S.

It hung with a Ported 090 & a McCulloch SP125, with the ECHO straight out of the box & not broken in.

The other 2 beat it, but just barely.
