Thanks for all the great stuff Dave! I did not realize that Bret ran his 460 a second time … darn good cut!

Was that with a 7 pin Bret?
We were all running the same bar and chain...I just put my bar and chain on and made a second cut to see if it was any better...That can't was the hardest wood I've cut in a long time....Except for morning wood..

Oh it is. That Stroker is a mean dude.

And @MustangMike maybe you need to drill some more holes in the mufkin of them Stihls.

Actually, I came in 1st and 2nd in the official 77cc competition with the factory RSL chain. None of the faster runs were with the factory B+C. (My CFB Hybrid was #1 and my MOFO 460 was a very close #2)

I had actually put a more open muffler on the Blue Beast right before the GTG, and frankly, I was disappointed. I put a more restrictive muffler back on it, with a modified baffle (instead of no baffle) and it feels much better. It will be at the CT GTG like that. It has much better torque now.

Bret grinds one heck of a chain!!! It is one thing to have a grind that will go through a soft wood cant, but to go through that White Oak like that … WOW!!!

I wish we could have a big White Oak cant like that at every GTG. It was really tough, and put the saws to the test. You learned fast what saws you could lean on, and which ones you couldn't.

Fixed! That was my 288 ran by @Fruecrue @2:10. Not too shabby considering the chain was mediocre. It did have a 8 pin rim on it too. Sweet, didnt known that made the clip. :D

So your Stihls beat the other Stihls?

I ran my 660 with stock Oregon box chain that Steve spun up for me on that belly bar.
Stihl 660 FTW!!! 10.26 with a fat work tune to boot. That Hacked Up saw runs well.
