I know something happened over on fhc and they tweaked the knobs to fix it. Here on OPE when you try to upload pics, you are limited to one at a time. We should be able to select multiple images when the choose file tab is pressed.

At that point^^ you are only allowed to select one photo. After it uploads, you have to go through the process again. This is the case in both Chrome and Firefox and on my mobile phone without tapacrap.

Pretty sure it wasn't that way all the time. I remember, especially when I posted pics of my milling projects, you could select multiple. I wouldn't have shared so many pics if it was 1 @ a time. It's tiresome.

If you use Tapatalk, it lets you upload multiple photos. I think 5 at a time.

On a windows box
Click the upload a File
A new window opens
Pictures 01.jpg

Choose all the files (total of 5) you want to upload.
Note: Choose 1, locate the next one and hold the CTRL key and click the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th files.
Pictures 02.jpg

When you click Open or Press Enter the files will upload

Here is the completed upload of all 4 (just happens to be the 4 I took for this help file)

Another option (from a computer) is to drag and drop the Pictures you want to upload into the Post Reply box area....
They will all upload and show you the list of pictures....
Now you will have the choice of inserting them as thumbnails or Entire Pictures.

This does not work. When I try to select the second pic (with ctrl) or when I press the second pic (when using shift) it simply selects the last click I made and un-selects the first click.

Have you tried the Drag and Drop?

The CTRL click for multiple works for me...

And to do it with this method you'd have to have 2 windows open, side by side to do the drag. I've never had to do it that way on any other forum I've been on (which is more than I'd like to admit).

On FHC when you press the upload a file tab, you go straight to the operating systems file browser. Here you get the pop-up I screen shot in the first post.

Here's the thing and I just verified it.

Go to your personal preferences
Pictures 03.jpg

Once you click it, this window will open.
If the Use Flash for uploads is not checked, you will get the Single Only Uploads
Pictures 02.jpg

When I unchecked that Flash button, I get this for uploads
Pictures 01.jpg

XenForo only supported uploading of one attachment at a time throughout all of their versions (including that which we're using) until the most current version which just came out.

I will install it soon.

However we have always been able to upload one image after the other without a page load, allowing us to easily upload more than one file.

You can always do (on a desktop) what someone suggested above: Open your file system browser and Ctrl select the images you want, and drag / drop 'em into a message.
