Unimog 406/U900 service manual?

Good morning guys, on the hunt for any manuals etc on a 406/U900 mog. Just bought one it's on my drive, starts and runs and chassis is rot free. Axles lockers and the likes work fine. Brakes are shot. Might just need bleeding. Havnt checked. Anyway just trying to gather info. Cheers

Cab needs replacing. And it's gonna get a full strip down, service, repaint and New parts where needed. Needs a new fuel tank, battery box, proper battery among lots of other parts too. The fuel tank the other side is a 1 gallon tank. Looking a plastic 160 litre tank. Lots of fabrication, welding and mild steel needed to get it all back to its best. The 5.7l Diesel has 3500 hrs on it though. Which is low.

Unimogs are cool machines. My buddy has one, but it is a newer model with a front end loader, backhoe, and complete hydraulic tool package. Yours looks way more practical for everyday use.

There's two within three miles of me. Case Farm Equipment before the IH merger sold them in the US. One of the ones here is Case branded.

I mean it looks rough but it all works. No hydraulics or 3point links but it has ptos off the gearbox. It's gonna look good one-day. And the bomb proof used worldwide by every man om352 diesel. Cheers for the links to info and manuals btw.

There's two within three miles of me. Case Farm Equipment before the IH merger sold them in the US. One of the ones here is Case branded.

I do love a case. My friend has a few 956xls and the turbo whistle on those makes me drool.

These were pre Red original Case company. 956xl's are pure IH I believe just got the CaseIH decal. You might check the CIH website for Unimog manual scans you never know. And I have seen literature on eBay for them.View attachment 215346

£4k. Everything big works really. Just everything needs looking at and the cab needs replacing too. Found a few good used cabs for circa £1300. Tyres on these cost a whack though. Found it in Leicester.

Those tires look like Military Michelin's. MilSurplus has pretty much dried up here(and the price got nutz). Great tires though.

my dad has a 406, pretty awesome machine for sure. ive told him ill never speak to him if he sells it to anyone but me lol.
edit: its actually a 416, just bought it off him so i guess ill
continue to speak to him lol
