Has a Huztl case, stihl crank, hyway 56mm top end. Runs great. Big thx to members that helped gather the UGLY parts. Goal was to use as many damaged parts as possible and test out fixes.

Lmao. It runs better than it looks believe it or not. The ugly is only skin deep. Are you digging the sardine can lid repair on the recoil assy? Can still pop the top when your hungry.
Yes definitely. But the melted plastic and that muffler (what the hells going on there) really tie it all together. I strongly believe if your going to have an ugly saw go all out.

Lol, all the bolt holes line up. That means it's good to go .

Edit....Burnt plastic came from a saw that was used on California wild fires. Saw had the burnt plastic and needed crank seals. So I salvaged those gems. Dual port muffler came from a beat saw in Midwest.....it needed rings, muffler, new rear handle. Beat up recoil is from member in Oregon. Rusty busty bar is from a faller in Wa. Scored gems from everywhere.

image.jpg 06D1CB81-E83F-4CD0-AF20-2DC268A1DA65.jpeg image.jpg image.jpg My first frankensaw was an old 064 my buddy bought new and ran the dog piss out of before stripping it for parts when it had served it purpose, all that was left was the crankcase abs a beat up fuel tank. I inherited it when he passed along with a bunch of other picked over parts, I kinda felt a connection to him as I was tinkering with it. Took me about 2 months to get a working saw outa what was left, but I got er done and I still use it for my bigger stuff today, I’ll see if I can find a good pic of it. For the record, his saws didn’t get worn out in the usual sense, they usually ended up getting squished by his dozer-loader, but that’s a whole story in itself. Sure miss that man.:( In the process, I developed CAD, and the rest is history.

You probably don't care if the elasto start handle works but I've fixed a couple in the last few months.
A metal pony bead from a hobby/art store will fit into the bottom of the handle and not come out if you melt a bent brad nail or fence staple peice above the bead in the starter cord .20201122_064957.jpg
I briefly tried plastic bit they pretty much shattered immediately.
