Yep. Took it down for a friend, his house is about four feet behind the stump. Roughly 3ft in diameter, there's some big locust on that hill.

Working solo removing some hazard trees for a customer the other day, heavy side leaning poplar overhanging the cottage along with chimney and sun deck.

Installed a guy rope anchored 90° to lay to keep it in control and steer it .
New adventures every day.

Looks like the trees have a couple thousand foot fall to make. They might just replant at the bottom.

Yeah, the butt of the tree is quite a ways down the hill before the whole tree hits. Then they generally take of sliding. We see some interesting reactions and physics on the hillside, haha.

Here's a nasty maple that me and @Scotty Overkill did last evening.



The main part of the trunk was rotted pretty bad and fractured pretty good. Everything from the wye was solid and ready to burn!

Yeah, the ground is fairly gravelly is some spots, so it can be a struggle to get footing.

My neighbor and independent thinker. Who needs springboards when you have a tractor bucket & a ladder... ??? Wonder whether the resulting chair toward the transmission lines was intended as part of the drama.
