The 572 sure wakes up after some work
To be honest, I have a feeling after some tanks and some porting the 572 will match or best the 462. I primarily use 28" bars on 70cc+ saws, so I'm hoping the 572's long stroke starts to shine.

I think so, from the little I ran of @CLEARCUT 572 I built for him it was pretty nice. He has ran a 36 on it and it did just fine oiled great, good torque. etc

93C77786-6B9D-4F05-BF3E-3912E6883F9B.jpeg I’m sure he’ll chime in here soon. I tried the saw with just a muffler mod before I gave it to @HYPERSAWS. I drilled this hole and then used a grinding bit to take out as much as I thought would help. And then opened up under the deflector. He was able to do more with his tools and porting know-how, however. I didn’t think the muffler mod helped it a whole lot by itself, but certainly once it was ported. I didn’t get any more pictures either. He might have some.

The easiest way to remove all that material would be to cut a window In The bottom of the muffler

Recently tried that one 550 mark I, I will not be repeating that anytime soon! The baffle is curved and a real pain, just make another hole lower on the muffler and add another deflector.

I cut the deflector off.....then drill holes in the corners. Connect the holes with a air saw......and then clean all that up. Make a new deflector.....and done.

Sounds simple huh? LOL

Long reach 1/8" shank burrs ain't real easy to find with the right heads, but they are a blessing.....

If you need more pictures let me know. Glad to share.
