Did some climbing with my new zig zag that thing makes life so much easier. Removed a wind damaged cedar with some crazy previous wounds. Sold some logs to a pallet maker. And sub contracted a friend in the industry with his 100ft ladder truck to do a big cotton wood over hanging a deck and sets of retaining walls.

I always chained trees together that looked like this. “Your first mistake could be your last”

Yes sir, if the tree warrants a chain or strap that will happen.
After evaluating this particular tree it could be reduced with no problems.
Thanks for you input here sir, I’m sure you have a lot of tree removal experience and it is always welcome to make us all better and safer.

Speaking of strapping a tree..... This was a tree that me and @Scotty Overkill took down about a year ago. It was a tall skinny maple about 65' tall that was standing dead and broke leaning towards a neighbor's house as you can see in the pictures. Not sure how well that you can see it but the top is tangled up in some other trees.

Me climbing to set the rope. Ratchet strapped a second ratchet so the tree wouldn't go any further while I set the rope.
downloadfile-4.jpeg
Pulled the tree with the truck ti straighten it up. As Scotty was pulling with the truck I was working the ratchet to keepit in place.

Once it was all straight I climbed it topped it and started piecing it to the ground.

I don’t think some people realize how technical and dangerous tree work is, A lot of engineering and thought goes into taking down a dangerous tree such as that. Thanks for sharing! Regards CatMan.

Well me and @Scotty Overkill were asked to take down some tree's for an older couple. There is 9 trees total to take down. 5 pretty big ones. We've been chipping away at it the other day it was my turn to climb. The view was breathtaking so here's some pictures that I want to share. It was pretty high.
When I dropped the one branch off of the top I had a little tree top rodeo going on! Haha
