Lol! Yeah it's the ole 039. If it was a new (to me) 046, 066 surely I'd get a GFY. Lol. Crazy thing was I was literally going to buy a chainsaw mill from Hutzle this week!

Nice deal! Are you going to keep the mighty Farm boss on there or swap it out?

Well. That's a good question Wayne. The longest bar I have is 28 Stihl es. So it fits but....the 285 would certainly be a better milling saw. Also have a 79xx Smurf P&C being shipped as we speak. So probably make a bar adapter and give those a try...
But then I think as much as Alaskans want for a Stihl farm saw maybe I'll just run the crap out of the 039 and mill a bunch of lumber then sell it pho(no joking people want $300+ for a well used 029-039 290, 310 etc up here).

Needed a better jigsaw for my deck project so I text a buddy that owns a pawn shop. Got a 346 and 550 from him a while back. He says he has a Bosch JS470e for $89. I look it up and it's a powerful saw and would definetly work well for my project. Got it for $70. It was $149.99 at home depot!

Wow!
Did you get the Husky 242xp for $100 also?
At one time many old-timers called it, "The best trimming/limbing saw ever produced!" 15,500RPM's!!!!
yup, paid 50$ for each saw.
I did not have a 339, never had one, always wanted one.
The 242 had a top end I've never had before, so far I've always got them with a Mahle, kinda good surprise that she had a Gilardoni 241B

Made a few test cuts with the metal blade in it and it went through the synthetic deck boards like a hot knife through butter! Very powerful and smooth! Cant wait to see it with the correct blade in it! Should make the finish cut around the pool very nice!
