That's the one I texted you and yes that's the Makita 1/2 inch impact. I'm really happy with it!

I'm thinking one of them impacts will be in my future

Just bought one myself! I went with the compact one. Haven’t used it much but definitely happy with it already!

Which one is that?

I'm looking at the one with 1000ft-lbs break away torque

Nice. I'm looking at that biggie so I can snap rusty *s-word loose.

New saw showed up at the door today, always wanted a 2188, got a great deal on this one. Finally got my big red saw.View attachment 177221 View attachment 177222
does the metal tag say Jonsered or Redmax?

Wonder if you could re-decal it to by Jonny Red?
I was wondering and would so the same thing lol.

I have the Milwaukee version of them and all are badass! The 3/8 18v is 210 ft-lbs and the 12v stubby is 250 ft-lbs and the monster 18v 18v is like 1200 ft-lbs! Yes the big one can get it done! With ease in most cases! The little ones are great for most stuff will take off one ton lug nuts but not with ease, the big 1/2 dose not even have to work!

Well..... on Tuesday I got an email from my friendly local Stihl dealer that went like this:

'Morning Mark,
We have a older MS 441 here that has been written off by the customers insurance company.
I’m not sure why it has been written off as the piston looks fine. It has been sitting here for over a year.
Happy for you to take it if you want it.'

Needless to say I replied in the affirmative!

This is the saw after reinstalling the muffler and a clean.....and it seems to run perfectly!

Total Cost......$0

I tried the saw this morning and found it wouldn't idle....'L' screw was wound right in! After a few adjustments, it runs perfectly, all I need is a bar! It's a '09 model that looks like it's only done a few hours work.

I've never had a 441 before, what are they like?
