Guy had very little packing in it...just a handful of scrunched up paper. Saw seems to have faired ok...fasteners to hold the handle are gonzo.

What is really funny, apparently the postal workers had some other busted boxes, and decided to fill this with other items. Lol. This was all extras in the box....

I took a gamble, and purchased this saw about 3 weeks ago. Guy said he’d ship it and took PayPal....sent payment.
Sounded new to shipping saws while talking with him, and complained that PayPal was holding his money for 21 days. Told him there was nothing I could do about them holding it....apparently he had just started a new account.
He shipped it out, and gave me the tracking info....
Was supposed to be here the 23rd. Finally showed up today...

Nice saw! Glad it wasn’t damaged! My 797 shipping experience wasn’t so good!

Oh dang...that’s no good. Looks like the handle fasteners got lost in shipping. I will need to see if I can find the proper sizes for replacement.
A good hardware store will decent replacements at least until you can find possibly better ones! My local hardware store has a bunch of stuff that work well, even have the 5/16 head wth straight slot screws

That's a bummer.
I got a nice 372xpw in a box like that once, had one towel in there with it, whats crazy is there was also a very nice 20" bar and chain that had nothing around them. I don't know how the box made it here with the bar still in it, without damaging the saw from the bar as it was just tossed in the box, and the saw not coming out of the box as it had a big set of felling spikes on it. I took pictures and let him know that's not how it's done and this is why, he said okay. Little while later he listed a saw and didn't get any hits on it in the trading post so he sends me a PM asking if I'd be interested for a bit less than listed, I said sure as long as it gets boxed better than the last one. Sent payment and a bit later the saw comes, two towels and a washcloth o_O. What's a guy to do, can you believe that one had no damage either. If I tried that it wouldn't work out well.

Nice looking haul. 353 is a damn nice saw, way underrated by most imo.
Thanks
I like them a lot, I've had a lot of them; wish I still had my last 2152c, she was a great saw.
The 545 will run right with the 353 and will get better fuel economy, but just as I would rather run the 346 over the 550 I like the 353 better too. I use the autotune and mtronic saws for jobs as not stopping for fuel speeds things up a bit, but for firewood I typically grab a the standard carb saws.
