I'm down to 9 or 10 corded saws now. People don't appreciate them, so they go cheap at garage sales (or into dumpsters!). Cost to ship it would probably exceed its value.

Hang onto it, put a sharp chain on it, and keep a good extension cord nearby. You may be surprised at how convenient it may be!

Philbert

It would take longer to roll up the cord when done, than to crank my top handle. Lol!

I’ll prob keep it as man cave fodder. Will prob look good beside my 015.

The 28” is wide a nose, minty with 1 skip chain.
Three 25” bars are serviceable and 3 of the 25” chains are freshly sharpened.
The 20” is NOS but has rust and paint peeling.
16” .325 Stihl bar is junk.
1 16” .325 Oregon chain is brand new.
Longest is a 3/8 .050 36”.
All chains will be serviceable, most need sharpening.

20180811_154058.jpg Local facebook paid off finally.
2001 2165 in very nice shape
It had never been apart it was hard to get the cover screws loosened.
Cleaned and pressure washed it.
Paint missing from handlebar of course
That's how they designed them apparently.
Little paint missing from front of case.
That's it not a scratch anywhere on the saw or wrap.
28 inch oregon bar and chain.
Very badly sharpened.
Been looking for a long time for a nice one of these
150.00
He had dozens of calls after i spoke to him.
He honored our deal
That's rare these day's.20180811_164043_Burst01.jpg 20180811_164031.jpg 20180811_164205.jpg View attachment 136770 20180811_141321.jpg

Picked up this Homelite 550 today for $50, seller told me his father had it rebuilt but it came back with such high compression he struggled to start it, so it got put aside for another saw.
I didn't really believe the story until I turned it over and *f-word, it's got killer compression.
Hope to play with it tomorrow in the daylight.

First attempt of just priming it and it wouldn't even try to start, took off that transformer spark plug thingy and noticed the contacts were very dirty and had a bug living inside, cleaned contacts and first pull she fired. Very happy.
Needs the fuel system cleaning and recoil spring is very sticky
