Keep the teeth sharp and it will cut a lot of limbs!

Some of those blades are easy to file; some need the special 'feather files'. Replacements are easy to find.

I have looked at replacement parts since the pruner blade has a chunk out of it. It still cuts as is though. Found a replacement on Ebay for $8.55 shipped!

I got one like that a few months ago, they can be rebuilt for pretty cheap as long as the cylinder cleans up. I think I had about $120 in parts total and I used all stihl except for the meteor piston.

That was a complete rebuild split the case new crank bearings, crank seals, piston, case gasket, case heat shield, wrist pin brg., fuel line, filter, impulse line, carb kit, spark plug, and clutch bearing. I was pretty happy to have a fully rebuilt 460 for about $240 total. Opened up the muffler a little and cleaned up the ports and she runs damn good.15310546641811021453795.jpg

Just an FYI, rust removal gel, I think it a permatex product, works awesome to clean up rusty bars like those, just apply, let dry, and remove with a wire wheel! It leave a great finish without grinder marks.

Cool thanks. Hopefully the tips are serviceable.
