Ya it’s dumb, they do it for fuel economy, traction control, bogging issues and overall smoothness....well and people who don’t know what throttle control means....very effective for the masses! Lol

the one for the outback was 135 and after I told them it should be a recall on them I walked out paying 80.

but when you are going 75 down the highway in rush hour and then it decides to do 20 mph in rush hour, makes you think someone needs there teeth kicked in.

I'm doing similar stuff with 3 guys, but I think they drive harder bargains here in NY! And yet, if you bring em to a local shop, I'll bet they charge a lot more here than out by you, and do crapier work (most of em).

Not sure what prices are fetching but I sold a completely refurbished/cleaned/painted MS461 with 28in Carlton bar and chain for 700. The guy could not buy it fast enough. I’m sure he is the one that spread the word.

I do nothing cosmetic, the employees generally "ride em hard and put em away wet". In addition to the repairs, I just tune them, muff mod, and pull the carb limiters. They seem to really appreciate that. As the one owner told me, "they seem to run stronger and last longer, everyone is happy".
