There aren't any dished 44mm piston involved with the 350, that I know of. I can't see any reason they would do such a thing...

I have never had a 44mm apart and just figured it was dished like the 45mm is. No wonder I like how that 44mm runs. Now I am getting educated.

I haven't either - but as I said, there is no reason they should have used a dished piston in that open port 44mm cylinder - but there were obvious reasons when they used the closed port 45mm 353 cylinder for the EPA version a few years later. Then they wanted to take the power output below 353 level, and down to the level of the 44mm open port.

If you want education you need to run both the 346 oe & ne, I have 2 of each, I also have 2 of the 44 m/m open port saws.
I'm not trying to bag on your saws but you asked for info, the 44.3 p%c will flat eat the others but the 353 flat top is close.
