Jasha sharpened some for me a few years ago & really fixed them.

They would hold an edge too.

I wish TreeSlingr was on here.

He was for a little while best I remember. He’s about quit all the saw related stuff and does ultra marathons now.

I set some semi chisel up with 30 degree top plate angle and more hook. It made it not bad at all to use for bucking firewood
Was 30 more or less angle than stock? I have made some super aggressive hook on picco full chisel and it is impressive. I have never tried SG picco, but I think it would keep up or be pretty close.

Not sure. I only had a couple loops of the stuff. Mostly Carlton and off brand stuff from down under. I may have had a loop of RM. played around and got them cutting good enough to use.

I get it and am right there with you, but kudos to my Stihl dihler for selling my “amateur hour “ coworkers and my eighty something dad RMC
Exactly, dealers hands are tied. Plus chains today are basically ground with a aggressive cutter profile to compensate for the dying breed of hand filers who were able to keep a chain cutting its smoothest and performance wise.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a big deal so now these hungry chains have less traction with more vibration reaction.

You have some cool old chains Willard, and its still new! Only non 'comfort' chains I own have come off vintage saws I've brought home for the tip! Maybe some of the Chinese chains don't have the comfort design, I bought a 100ft of GB evoII .404 semi (China Carlton copy) that has the arrow like √ but on its side. But the looking at this chain I'm not sure if it is actually vibe ban design or not as rivets appear level...

CR 888, that 35RM chain has spun on my Jonsereds 70E Tsunamira bar but hasn't cut a stick of wood.
As far as I know .404 doesn't have Stihl Comfort or Oregon VibeBan.
Only on the smaller chains.
Carlton chain never had also as far as I know.

I got some NOS 25RM .325
I used it back in the day on my 066 with a 9 pin milling lumber. I had a odd ball .058 bar that I ran it on. Beautiful chain.

Am I seeing things, or does this new German chain have old school non anti vibe cutters and links?
Looks like it to me.
Reviews are coming in that it's good chain.
